OUR STORY
I’m Christine, the founder and baker behind iloafyou LIC, a microbakery in Long Island City dedicated to making naturally leavened bread products. My love for baking began during my time living in Spain in high school and culinary school, where I discovered the difference naturally leavened bread can make. I studied at Le Cordon Bleu Madrid and became obsessed with high-quality ingredients and the craft behind seemingly simple products.
When I returned to New York, I revived my college supper club in my Long Island City apartment, determined to serve bread that would excite my guests. When I couldn’t find the perfect loaf—something crusty with a good chew and a custardy interior—I decided to make it myself. I experimented with sourdough until I developed a unique, flavorful bread made with the best ingredients and no commercial yeast, letting natural cultures create a truly distinctive flavor.
Now, with iloafyou, I’m thrilled to share this passion with the New York community. Every loaf is made with care, and I’m constantly trying to push the boundaries of what bread can be. I’m excited to bring my version of sourdough to your table, and I hope you enjoy eating it as much as I enjoy baking it.

Best sourdough in New York!
The loaf had a pliant, golden crust with a chewy, pudding-like, open-crumb interior. You could taste the sourness, but it wasn't overpowering.

Couldn't be more impressed with the loaf & butter!
The quality was excellent and nothing like anything we've had before, all the way through to the adorable packing! I cannot go back to commercial sourdough after that or grocery-bought butter. We will absolutely be placing an order in your next drop!
